Grandma

About 6 weeks ago Benjamin decided he wanted to start calling Nancy (Kerry's Mom), Grandma. For nearly seven years now we've only known her as Nanna. That is what Gavin, Caroline, and up to recently, Benjamin have always called her.

Nanna has been the perfect name for Nancy as she's a very youthful Grandmother. Now one of her grandchildren, not intentionally, is putting years on this lady by calling her Grandma. And you've got to hear how he pronounces it: Graaaandma, with an emphasis on the "an" sound that resembles that of an Indy car.

Now comes Momma Thuy into town and The Red Head and I were wondering if he would change her name as well. It only took about four hours of them being reunited before Benjamin dropped the "G-bomb" on her. The look on her face was priceless.

Neither of these ladies deserve this aged title version but there is something very precious with having that grandchild that has given it to them.
